Dennis Quaid wore a "Vote for Pedro" shirt on the Daily Show last night.
And we don't really know how to feel about it. On the one hand, it's really cool that he even saw "Napoleon Dynamite" (a Ladystein favorite) and even cooler that he actually bought a shirt that references it. So we should have a lot more respect for Dennis Quaid right now. BUT maybe there's something a little sad and desperate about it -- like, he goes on the Daily Show so he needs to wear something hip and young. Is Dennis Quaid trying to pander to our demographic? I guess we'll never know, since Jon Stewart didn't ask him about it, opting instead to ask him about meeting his new wife in a Texas steakhouse. Whatever. Quaid is cool. Not as cool as Randy Quaid, but cool nonetheless. I mean, dude was in "Innerspace." That still counts for something.
In any case, how are y'all? It's been a while since we posted, as we've been rather busy. Alana officially turned 25, which, as Jessica Simpson once said "is almost mid-twenties" - a scary concept indeed. Alana had a flippin' cool party, which we'll post pictures from at some point. We swear. We have also been learning some kickin' new tunes. Let's just say that one of them is from "Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas." We're also hard at work writing our new dance hit sensation "The French Lulu." Which promises to be one of the finest songs ever written. Ever.
We also saw "Good Vibrations" (the Beach Boys musical) on Broadway. Let's just say that it's a good thing we didn't pay any kind of money for it. It's pretty much the cheesiest show on Broadway right now. Luckily, that means that it was unintentionally hilarious to an X-treme degree. Half of the cast is wildly homosexual, yet forced to dance with chicks in bikinis. Also, there are lines mentioning getting a "woody" delivered with absolutely no sense of irony. Sigh.
That's all for now -- we hope you have a rockin' Martin Luther King weekend!
